so i dont know what im going to do with this blog, i might do something with it in time, we will see.

so its been a while, thanksgiving was awesome, then i went back to work, which was also awesome, not much has happened besides me settling in.

if the past week i started cooking (hot pockets dont count) i made buffalo macaroni and blue cheese, it was…. interesting…

also, last weekend was the first weeekend i have had off in about 4 weeks, but thats a good thing, i need the money

Oh, i hate driving to/home from work in the snow, the snow part isnt bad, the other drivers suck, you do not need to drive 5mph with your ass when you see a single snow flake (the was a VGcats reference)

i had to clean out my fridge, i wanted to get rid of everything that had an expiration date, so i was cooking all that stuff

this is now my 2nd week here and not a lot has happened

comcast DID show up, after skipping me twice, and they DID install their crap on my computer after I asked them not too, but i kinda figured that was going to happen

I started my new job, I love it, good thing too because that is the whole reason for me moving here

I got a roomba robot vacuum and the thing does a really good job of cleaning, but its like a damn kitten with how you have to watch it. I set the thing to clean and I left my apartment for about 10 minutes to go drop something off at the leasing office, when I got back I didnt hear it running, I figure it got stuck in a corner somewhere and shut its self off.

I notice its wheel trails going under the bed so I bent down to look for it, it wasn’t under the bed, right before I try to softly call out “roooooommmmmbbbbaaaaa” I hear a dual tone beep that goes like “beeee-booo” I know that this sound is the universal roomba robot code for “uh-oh” as stated in the owners manual

roomba was in trouble

turns out it tried to eat the for the curtain draw strings, it managed to get string around its brushes and it pulled its self into the air

poor thing was stuck there crying out “beeee-booo” waiting for someone to help

after i freed the roomba and reset it, it made a happy “beboobeBOOP” which i think is roomba for “thank you for saving my life” and it started cleaning again… cleaning and bumping into walls…

…like a kitten…

oh yes, the cookie part, i got some awesome pumpkin chocolate chip cookies today, i just thought you would like to know about them, and their awesomeness.

the reason for this blog is for friends and family to know that i am still alive, and a place for me to paste my photos besides DA

so over the weekend i moved, to Chicago

last night i started to settle in and i had my first meal

everything is going well, i got a lamp, i am unpacking and finding i don’t have enough bookshelves,  i found an awesome indoor climbing place, i climbed there for a bit. its worth the money

i also drove in to where i will be working this morning, leaving here at 7:00a takes 90min in traffic (only going about 20 miles), so on my first day i will be leaving a bit sooner

this afternoon i was working on mounting a hang board (or training board) for rock climbing and there was a really annoying buzzing sound, and strobe lights,  someone set off the fire alarm so i got to spend a while outside

it is really good to know that if there is a fire the fire dept. gets here in 7 min and they bring 5 trucks, tomorrow i will be calling about renters insurance, i hear its about $9/mo.

oh also if this happens again i will make sure to grab my d300, or at lest my p60
